Mount Fuji
Mount Fuji, measuring at 3776 meters high, is the tallest mountain (and active volcano) in Japan. In 2013, the mountain and its surrounding areas were designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site, for its significant role in inspiring works of art and literature throughout centuries. Between July and mid-September, Mount Fuji is open for mountain climbing, and between mid-April and mid-December, the Fifth Station Parking Lot is open with many shops and food stands.
