Shinjuku Golden-gai is a series of narrow alleys near the Kabukicho area in Shinjuku. The alleys were made after World War II, and the most of the shops there serve foods and drinks. The area has been popular with writers and film directors for its unique bars and izakaya restaurants. In recent years, Shinjuku Golden-gai has been a hit with foreign tourists.
